Expressions of Interest open - Stronger Communities Grant Programme Round 9
The Stronger Communities Programme supports the Australian Government’s commitment to delivering social benefits in communities across Australia.
Federal electorate's have a total funding of $150,000 each to fund small capital projects. A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate and up to $20,000 of funding per Group.
The Stronger Communities Programme - Round 9 is open for Expressions of Interest (EOI) through Members of Parliament (MPs). Organisations interested in a grant must contact their local MP to submit an EOI and confirm when their EOI system closes. Organisations that are nominated by their MP will be invited to apply for a grant in February 2025.
Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 will be available to assist Groups delivery infrastructure projects. Up to 100% of project costs can be covered by the Programme. Maximum project cost is $50,000 and all projects must be completed by December 31 2025.
Applying for a defibrillator through the Stronger Communities Grant Programme
As part of the Stronger Communities Grant, Groups have the option to apply for funding to install a defibrillator at their hall or campsite. If your Group chooses to apply for a defibrillator, Staying Alive Health is available to help make your project a reality.
What you need to know:
Staying Alive Health is supporting Scout Groups to access defibrillators through the Stronger Communities Grant Programme
If successful, your grant would cover the full cost of Staying Alive Health's defibrillator package, including installation and setup
The unit needs to be publicly accessible 24/7 (i.e., installed outside your hall) to support both your Group and the wider community
The package from Staying Alive Health includes a ZOLL AED Plus defibrillator, a Rotaid 24/7 monitored cabinet, and five years of 4G monitoring and unit tracking
Staying Alive Health will source and install the AED, set up monitoring, and provide basic training to Leaders at your Group
To apply for a defibrillator with Staying Alive Health:
If you Group chooses to apply for a defibrillator with Staying Alive Health you still need to submit and EOI to your local MP. Successful EOIs will be invited to submit a full application. Every electorate has a different deadline, so make sure you are fully aware when EOIs are due to your local MP
Staying Alive Health is available to support Groups in their full application
