General Questions

What is ScoutHealth?
ScoutHealth is Scouts Victoria's new secure platform for collecting, storing and managing member health information and support needs.

Why is Scouts Victoria introducing ScoutHealth?
To replace a mix of older processes with one secure, accurate, and easy to access system, so the right health information is available when it matters most.

Is my information secure?
Yes. ScoutHealth has been rigorously tested and built alongside updated privacy and data management policies. Information is only visible to the member or family, and to authorised Scouts Victoria administrators.

Is anything changing for upcoming camps and events right now?
No existing health information processes will continue as normal during this stage. Nothing changes for activities already planned.

What are the two stages of the rollout?
  1. Stege 1, Member Portal: Adults and families enter and maintain their own health information
  1. Stage 2, Management Portal (approximately two months later): Leaders gain access to relevant health information for their Section
How is Privacy managed in ScoutHealth?
  1. ScoutHealth stores health information securely, with documents and records held in a protected, access controlled environment. The platform uses encryption, login verification, and audit logging, and access is limited to authorised users only.
  2. The platform has undergone independent legal review for privacy compliance, as well as external penetration testing by a cyber security firm, with further testing scheduled annually.
  3. For more detail on how your information is collected, used, and protected, please see our Privacy Policy, Collection Notice, and Health Records Data Management Policy, all available on the Scouts Victoria website.

Who can I contact if I have a question or technical issue?
How do I register?
Go to www.scouthealth.com.au and click Register Now. Enter the email address linked to your member's Scouting membership, click Check Eligibility, then follow the prompts to verify your email, create your account and sign in. See the guide "Member Portal - How to register and link members".
Which email address should I use?
Use the email address registered on your member's Scouts membership profile. If a different email is entered, the system will not find the membership and you will not be able to register.
Whose name do I enter when creating the account?
Enter your own full first name and surname as the account holder, not your child's. You will link your child's profile to your account in a later step.
What are the password requirements?
Your password needs at least eight characters and must include one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character.
What is the Collection Notice I have to agree to?
Before you can continue, you read and consent to the Collection Notice, which explains how Scouts Victoria collects, uses and stores you and your member's personal and health information in line with the Privacy Policy. You need to tick the box to proceed.
Do I have to set up two-factor authentication?
You are prompted to set up an authenticator app for faster, more secure sign in. It strengthens your account security and is recommended, since the portal holds sensitive health information.
How do I link my child's profile?
Once signed in, click Link Profile and enter the member's first name and surname exactly as they appear in Scouts records. See step 16 of the registration guide.
Why won't my child's profile link?
The name must match Scouts records exactly. If it does not link, check the spelling and that you have used the member's registered name. If it still does not work, contact support at support@scouthealth.com.au
What information do I need to complete?
Open the linked profile and click View, then work through each section, adding medical conditions, physical or mobility aids, mental health or wellbeing information, emergency details, and the member's swimming ability. Click Save in each section as you go.
Can I add more than one child to my account?
Yes. You link each family member's profile to your one account and complete their information separately.
How do I know I've finished?
Once you have completed and saved all the required sections for each linked member, your profile is complete. You can then log out.
Is my information secure?
Yes. ScoutHealth is a secure platform and holds health and medical information only. Access by authorised Leaders is controlled and recorded.
Where do I go for help?

For Leaders

What can I do to support the rollout?
Encourage members and parents/carers in your Group or Unit to complete their profile as soon as they receive their invitation, and support anyone who needs help accessing the platform.
