Logging in to your Scouts Victoria email or Microsoft account involves the below, with two main options, depending on whether you received a temporary password or not.
- Logging in by re-setting the password using your phone or email, or
- Logging in with your temporary password (if you were given one)
- Setting up multi-factor authentication
- Setting a new password
Follow the instructions below to get started.
Logging in by re-setting the password using your email
Click "Next" and then select "Forgot my password."
Choose Email for verification. Ensure that the Email address for verification aligns with the details in your Extranet Membership Profile.
Upon verification, a unique code will send to your email inbox, which you can use to set up a new password for your account.
Logging in with your temporary password (if you were given one)
If you don't have a temporary password given to, please log in using the re-set method above, or submit a help request at helpdesk.scoutsvictoria.com.au
To log in to your Scouts Victoria Microsoft account for the first time, start by going to www.microsoft365.com and entering your username.
Your username is your Scouts Victoria membership number, followed by ‘@scoutsvictoria.com.au’, like 12345678@scoutsvictoria.com.au.
If you’re not sure what your membership number is, ask your Group Leader, or Leader-In-Charge.
After you enter your username, you will need to enter your temporary password that has been emailed to you.
Setting up multi-factor authentication
Next you will be asked to download and set up the Microsoft Authenticator app, using the instructions on the screen.
If you don’t have a smart phone, you can select ‘I want to use a different method’ to setup SMS or phone notifications instead.

After you click sign-in, you will be prompted to create a password. Enter the temporary password you received and set a new password. Keep this password safe, and don’t give it to anyone else.
