Festive Fundraising Guide

Festive Fundraising Guide

Christmas tree sales are a fantastic way for Scout Groups to raise funds and connect with their local community.

Whether your Group is just getting started or building on an existing fundraiser, this guide will help you plan with confidence, sell successfully, and make your fundraiser easier to run each year. The Festive Fundraising Guide includes detailed planning advice for Groups running a Christmas tree fundraiser, guidance on sourcing trees, social media promotion tips, general marketing advice, and more practical advice to support a successful fundraiser.

A well-planned Christmas tree fundraiser can make a real difference. On average, Groups raise $8,000 in profit, with some of the largest Group fundraisers raising more than $30,000. These funds can support equipment, Hall upkeep, event attendance, and other Group priorities. Tree sales also help local families see Scouting in action and can introduce potential new youth members and volunteers to your Group ahead of Term One.
